West Central Sanitation welcomes you to our Good Neighbor Cart service.  Here are a few items to keep in mind:

    WHAT TO PLACE IN CART:

Garbage, household refuse, cold ashes.

    WHAT NOT TO PLACE IN CART:

Hot ashes, fluorescent light bulbs, solvents, paint, motor oil, car batteries, gas, or substances that are considered hazardous waste.  Also, Minnesota law prohibits us from taking any type of lawn debris with your trash, such as grass or leaves.

    WHERE TO PLACE ON DAY FOR SERVICE:

 Place at the end of your driveway by 6:00 a.m.

        - wheels in back towards home

       - 1' to 2' in from curb or end of drive, NOT on the street   

       - 3' away from other objects or personal property

   RECYCLING

Please contact our office to see if recycling is available in your neighborhood.  If you currently have recycling services with West Central Sanitation, please reference our Residential Recycling for sorting information.

    HOLIDAYS:

We observe these holidays:  New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  If your day of service occurs on a holiday, we will service you the next business day.  If a holiday occurs on a Saturday or Sunday, your day for service will not be affected.  If there is any deviation from this schedule, you will be notified by mail or newspaper.

    CARTS & BINS:

Please remember we own the carts & recycling bins, so if you move outside our service area, we will take the cart and/or bin on your final day of service.  Should your cart ever need fixing, call us and we will repair or replace it.  If the cart or bin is destroyed or stolen, there is a replacement fee of $65.00 +tax for the cart and $7.85 +tax for the recycling bin.

 

*We can take just about anything you want to get rid of, including **furniture and ** appliances, however, Minnesota law requires that we do not take:
        fluorescent lights
        any type of lawn debris – such as grass and leaves
        household hazardous waste – such as motor oil and paint

** Arrangements must be made in advance to have any additional refuse removed, regardless of size and quantity of extra.
